HA! Inspiration is a a complex and dangerous world isn't it? I would be remiss if I didn't say that a majority of my inspiration spawns from my own thoughts, but I often try to look at things that seem, well, interesting or untouched.

Looking at the list of my games and the reason they were created.
Blood, Coin, and Steel - Song of Ice and Fire 2e and adding a bunch of other stuff.
Fate/ Lonely Dance - There was no decent Fate game, so I made it.
Feast of Legends : Clapback Edition - I despised FoL, I hated it so much I rewrote it to spite Wendy's.
Fists of Chaos - Answering the question of "how do I punch a motherfucker in the face" in RPG form, surprisingly little in the way of martial arts focused games. Also came from a member of the /gdg/ discord from the bones of an old game of his.
Granbelm: Dancing in the Midnight Realm - A mediocre 2018 anime, getting a TTRPG? Unthinkable, until I woke up one night.
Hearts of Darkness - WD&WC and my own fascinatio n with Africa compelled me to write it for no other reason than to get a slightly less flanderized version of Africa out there.
Iron Caskets - No tank games exsist that aren't 900 page nightmares or GURPS.
Monster Girl Adventures - /mgw/ wanted a game, I delivered.
Project Tactics - Bannerlord just came out, I was playing an absurd amount of Kenshi, and the ideas just stuck.
Standard Issue Science Fiction - All my favorite Science Fiction tropes in one game, hell yeah!
Where the Light Fades Softly - STALKER / Metro are always said to be great TTRPG bait, but no ones really capitalized on it outside a few projects that were abandoned years ago.
Tabletalk Online - Quirky Isekai bullshit game that isn't tied to a single franchise, whoo!
So. overall, a lot of my games are simply based on things I "enjoy" or things I wish to fix. However, I'm always open to suggestions (hence why I always ask for said ideas), if/when I decide to go down the Patreon route or one of those services, that'd be the biggest thing I'd offer: the ability to dump ideas onto me to work on.
